Need to get back to the normality of meal planning and if I write it down here I tend to stick to it better.
Saturday - Veg soup with Chicken and Bacon Ravioli
Sunday - Nandos Marinated Turkey with Cajun Potatoes and Vegetables
Monday - Slow Cooked Beef Casserole with Yorkshire Puddings
Tuesday - Griddled Fish with Noodles and Salad
Wednesday - Spaghetti Bolognaise
Thursday - Chicken with Pepper Sauce, Spicy Rice and Salad
Friday - Bacon and Pasta in a spicy BBQ Sauce
Breakfasts will be porridge, fruit, cereals or toast
Lunches will be HM soup, wraps and Saus Rolls / Pasties (DD only)
Snacks will be fruit, dried fruit, nuts or rice crackers
We are trying to be healthy but need to make a couple of exceptions for DD hence the Saus Rolls and Pasties0 -
Mine sounds fairly unexciting compared to some of the others but this is how it goes:
Sunday: Chicken pie and mash
Monday: Stew and dumplings
Tuesday: Shepherds pie
Wednesday: Roast chicken
Thursday: Keema mince & pitta breads
Friday: Pork meatballs & pasta
I also bought a bag of YS Bramley apples so will stretch this out to two puddings, and will make some hm rice pudding for DS as he cant eat stewed fruit.0 -
This is a great idea - really focusses the mind.
Sunday - roast chicken dinner / mushroom puff pastry tart for me
Monday - chickpea and spinach curry with rice/ fish, rice and veg 4 kids
Tuesday - pasta arribiata and salad
Wednesday - sausages and mash
Thursday - stirfried veg in satay sauce with noodles
Friday -roasted veg enchiladas with refried beans
Saturday- baked potatoes
Soup out of the freezer for work days, toast or sandwiches for others. I like it - it's good to get back in control. Looking forward to seeing what others have planned0 -

A speltotto is like a risotto but made with bearled spelt or (in my case) pearled barley...never made it before so hoping it will be as nice as risotto0 -
OK. I don't 'do' meal planning as I usually change my mind about what I want to eat/can be bothered to cook. I'm not much of a cook and tend to do jacket pots or quick pasta dishes as they are quick and easy!
However, in an effort to have a more interesting diet and control my food cupboard a bit more, I am going to give it a try... So here goes - an attempt for 5 days - a bit pasta heavy still, but a start!! (Doing 7 days is too much for my feeble brain!).
Mon - fishcakes and veg
Tues - spag bol (with pasta rather than spag)
Wed - curry
Thur - veg and bacon pasta
Fri - jacket pot
Thanks for the idea behind this thread!0 -

The swede speltotto is delicious! It does need a LOT of black pepper, and ideally parmesan (never tried veg equivalent) But it was yum!0
