Problem with flush on concealed cistern (geberit)

Would value some advice.
New bathroom. New toilet. Ordered a back to wall pan with a geberit UP200 concealed cistern and Kappa50 flush plate.
All fitted and working.
However, depress the button and water is released but only while the button remains depressed. If you let go of the button, the water flow immediately stops.
I thought you would only need to press whichever of the 2 buttons you needed and then walk away.
Any ideas?
TIA

fill valve not adjusted to fill the cistern with the correct amount of water could be one thing that can cause your problemI'm only here while I wait for Corrie to start.
You get no BS from me & if I think you are wrong I WILL tell you.0 -
As post 2 but also the cable that connects the button to the flush mechanism in the concealed cistern might be maladjusted.
