I'm sorry, if you spent over 200 hours doing this, and didn't check even a sample of what you were committing to the Brennan before disposing of your source LPs, you have nobody to blame but yourself....
I also don't see how you can complain about 'losing' £2000 worth, when you took them to the charity shop. If they were truly 'worth' £2000, surely anyone with any savvy would sell them on eBay for that?

I've added a dozen or so Vinyl LPs on to the Brennan, it's obviously not as simple as loading CDs and there is no way round playing the LP in real time to transfer on to the Brennan as is the case for transferring on to PCs but it's especially worth it if they are albums which are no longer readily available on CD.
The Brennan instructions do refer to setting the initial recording level to suit which I recall doing. It might take one or two test runs but you don't need to record a whole album, let alone 200hrs worth, to find the best settings. Anyway, I'm just happy it's possible to record vinyl at all even if it's a bit long winded. :T0
