On phone, check that you are typing the wifi password (security key) correctly, paying attention to UPPER and lower case letters.
If laptop is dropping the connection during use it's possible your wifi is using the same channel as one of your neighbours.
Use inSSIDer to check (<-- direct link to download file)How do I add a signature?0 -
Thanks, it won't even let me get to that stage on my phone, whenever I try to connect to my router it says- connection unsuccessful, your phone couldnt reach the wifi network netgear. Everyone else's phone's, ipods ipads etc works fine.0

Was your old router also a Netgear? If so, it's possible your phone is still trying to connect to the old wifi connection. I had a similar problem and found that deleting/forgetting the connection and then trying to connect again solved it. If that doesn't fix it changing the SSID via the router's admin pages may help (you will have to reconnect all other devices if you do this)How do I add a signature?0 -
