Can any of the techies out there give me some help please. I am after a laptop but haven't a clue where to start in choosing one. I need an internet ready laptop, with a CD drive, with Windows package which will allow me to perform all the basic word processing functions and has room to store my photos. I don't particularly need anything with massive memory.
Can I do it for under £400? And can anyone recommend a specific laptop?
Thanks in advance

"internet ready" is a bit too ambiguous
Do you mean wi-fi ready?
No laptop or pc would come internet ready as such as of course your house would need a current internet connection to connect to. If you have a wireless router then you need a laptop wi-fi enabled.
You can get everything you requested for a lot less than £400I don't know any exact models but check out the Dell website as their cheapest range would do the job! Also check out the pcworld website.
I'm sure others will come along and post with some better deals ^-^[FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]"The internet is a great way to get on the net."

There is a poll at the top of the Techies Forum about the best cheapest lap top. There are some good suggestions there.'Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts'
