Please can anyone advise, I was granted a DRO back in 2009 (approx) all of the Debts were quashed namely Hutchinson Telecom and Natwest. I recently applied for a credit report and these above companies still remain on my file as default (will they eventually be removed or are they there to stay? secondly; can I apply to have them removed by writing to Capquest who the debt was passed to by Hutchinson Telecom and also Natwest (if so does anyone have a template letter asking for the removal of these companies on my file) thanks Jim

The defaults will stay for 6 years.
If the dates are wrong, then get then corrected so they come off correctly in 2015.

Hi thats a great help thanks, do write to them on 27 August 2015 which will be 6 years to the date or shall I write now informing them I would like them removed on the above date? Jim0

Please read the links. They tell you.
But basically you check the default dates now to make sure they are on or before the start of your DRO. If they are after, then you write now to get the default dates corrected. Entries are automatically removed 6 years from the default date, so that is the vital thing to be correct.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB
