Anyone else got a ban from liking Facebook pages

I'm currently banned because i'd liked over a 1000 companies in 3 months! Didn't think it was too excessive myself!! :rotfl:

Remember on some pages if you 'like' something already you can still enter their competitions using the Apps.

Yes I have been doing this since Oct :j How did you get to know how many likes you did in three months? WOW 1000 that is some serious comping

So it's liking too much rather than who is on my news feed.

To be honest (please don't hate me too much for this post :grouphug: ) but I am glad that Facebook is clamping down on this. I think many people forget Facebook is a social networking site and NOT a competition site.

The promoters are at fault here as they are not complying with FB rules by running their comps on a "like and share" basis instead of using an app.

As we all should know by now, it is against FB rules two have two accounts so we are stuck with the one account, which the majority of people use to keep in touch with friends, family etc. The last thing friends of compers want is their walls/newsfeed absolutely full of liked and shared photographs for which they have absolutely no interest whatsoever.

I am a comper and love nothing more than my competitions but I don't really do that many FB comps for this reason alone. I really really do not want to be spamming my friends newsfeeds with all my likes and shares.

I also see it from the other side as well as I have a number of competition friends on FB and I have had to unsubscribe from all their posts as when I get home at lunch time and want to check my FB newsfeed I cannot see anything but very very annoying posts from all these likes and shares, seeing one photo six, seven, eight etc times being shared by different people. Believe you me I find it extremely annoying. I want my newsfeed to be full of things that I am personally interested in not that other people want to :spam: me with.

I hope you can see what I am saying here but I am just giving a view from the other side.

I understand you love the social side of Facebook & that is as you say why Facebook was invented in the first place.

I don't like the social side of facebook myself, I would rather talk via email, forums, phone text or face to face.

Please no one shout too loudly at me (ducks behind the sofa) but I am on Facebook to enter comps.

So they are probably right in banning me for a while lol.

Saying all of that I have only won once on Facebook & that was this Christmas a cheque from the capital grab cash comp.

Oh well just have to wait again for it to be lifted & hope they don't ban me!

Probably because your likes are spamming everyone's newsfeeds.

I've 'de-friended' many people for this... (that and b!tching about politics too much)

Think it was down to rafflecopters when i first started. Entered everything and anything!!

I understand why fb might have banned me but why hubby and sister that is only visiting me they got 30 day bans aswel and don't comp.

Toniq I miss you loads aswel I feel like ive been sent to Coventry and so missing all my chats with friends its so frustrating.

They have some ip address as you - so its possible fb think you have multiple accounts

If there were no competitions on Facebook, I wouldnt have an account.

I got told off once for adding too many people at once. So I dont add new friends unless they request it of me.
