I am using Thunderbird as my email client and on upgrading to version 17 - I have to input my email password every time that I log in - has anyone else noticed this and has anyone found a solution ?
I have used the password manager - but that appears short of memory too !!

No -- On one OS (can't remember which) I noticed that deleting passwords in Firefox also deleted Thunderbird passwords!

Do you use software like CCleaner that could be deleting the stored passwords...?

Maybe your profile got corrupted. First I would delete all passwords manually from the password manager. Then close and reopen TB and type in all the passwords when asked and see, if they stick when you open TB the next time.

It could also be, that one of your extensions is not behaving or is incompatible with the new version. Disable all extensions and then re-enable them one by one to find out which one causes that problem.

If this doesn't help, try it with a new profile...
