Its nice to have people to chat to while we wait for the page to open. This is a forum after all. I'm sure we will be alerted as soon as the website opens, I'm sure most of us are up to trying MARE out, and I;m sure some lovely techy people will help us crack the code on the off chance it doesn't work. Now put your hand on your head and you fingers on your lips!

    Sorry Miss! :o :rotfl:

really sorry but i thought this thread was also about helping each other!!!!!

Catgirl, it is, and I apologise for coming across a wee bit rude. It's just that there are other "chatty" threads about what parks offer what, etc but on this one, its really an alert that the site is open for booking and what the final code is or might be.

Those posts are helpful in the right places but simply saying you're still waiting? So are all of us....:D

Hope you get the park you're looking for btw.

Knowing other people are out there waiting to book their holidays makes the waiting easier. Nothing wrong with people helping each other out. Maybe the stress is too much for some?

We went to La bien Assise (No. 203) in july last year, it was lovely.

As someone has said above it was the same as a uk break and the service charge was exactly as quoted, we got a confirmation letter really quickly after booking and had to pay the balance (the service charge) within 10 days. It also said they take a refundable deposit of £50 but we were never asked for it.

We went by tunnel, it was only 15 mins from their to la bien which is why i chose it as it was our first time driving abroad.

I booked the tunnel direct and got it for £29 each way - prices vary ALOT so check that out when planning your break.

From La Bien we went EVERYWHERE we went to calais, dunkirk, le tourque and even bruges!! It was definatly work it and a lovely park too....we are looking at park no. 208 this year :-)

    good luck everyone x x
Do most people just use La Bien Assise as a base for touring the area, or is it a nice enough site to base most of our holiday there?

I think we all need to relax! I'm sure that when the site goes live that we will all get down to the serious business but there is absolutely no harm in helping each other along the way and a bit of humour is always welcome! The code words have been kindly posted on page 1 so there is no chance of not being able to find them and I for one would rather spend the time waiting seeing what other peoples experiences/tips are than stare blankly at a screen pressing f5 every two minutes!

    Don't stress the small stuff!:D

well said ,you never know what you might learn from other peoples experiences.Cant leave computer now as i might miss the site opening so might as well share any tips we have.

Sorry if my trying to lighten the atmosphere and have a laugh or 2 has upset anyone, I just thought it might help keep us all sane and occupied while we were waiting............

I will take myself outside and have a word with myself about it immediately:naughty::wall::naughty:

    There that's better now.......

Ahh. We have a table booked for 7 o clock. It's with our tesco vouchers, and we really need to use them this weekend!

Yep and I couldn't agree more, hence I haven't said its wrong to chat, more that its better to keep it to the right thread...;)

As for stressed? Not me, I've picked my five parks and my five dates and will sit here waiting for the green light to book. It's a holiday, a chance to get away for a few days with my beautiful children so wherever and whenever we go, it will be a great time.

I'm not even booking a holiday :rotfl: I'm booking one for my parents though.

I suppose the problem with a big chatty thread is that when people come in from work, ballet etc. as I did just now they go to the last page of this thread to see if the code has already been cracked, or which letter is still available for cracking it takes them 10 pages of scrolling back through chat just to find the latest list of who is taking which letter.

It doesn't bother me personally though, I like chat :D
