Chancel Insurance - Searchpoint?

Hello,
We are due to complete on our new house on Monday and the only outstanding issue is Chancel Insurance.
My Solicitor was quoting £100.88 for a policy which was up to £250k and in perpertuity.
I have found an alternative policy which is £14.95 and offers covers up to £1m and is also In Perpetuity.
After a battle, my solicitor has agreed to take out this insurance but won't guaruntee it because there have never used that policy before.
I have read posts on here referring to a policy that is 14.95, and this particular one is with Searchpoint.
Can anyone advice if this cover is as good as any other, or should we just pay the £100.88 and go with the insurance the solicitors usually use for peace of mind?
Thanks in advance

Doesn't directly answer your question as only you can decide especially if it is a requirement of your mortgage to have insurance and a solicitor who refuses to use anything other than their more expensive policy.0 -
Thanks - very informative0
