I expected 'good, sound advice' - if you approached your bank manager would they give you something they KNEW you'd not be able to afford, but by blinding you with APR's, LTV's, fixed terms etc get your signature on that dotted line?

Can you explain how the advisor knew you would not be able to afford the debt?

On New Year's Eve a tenner fell out of my pocket whilst drunk.

Can I claim this back off the bank??

What a completely juvenile and unrealistic question. You'd, of course, seek damages from the clothing manufacturer for not advising you to zip your pockets whilst carrying money under the influence of alcohol.

    Classic thread.

Thanks for the suggestion but surely Martin should be taking this up?? etc

*cue tiresome 'the great tenner falling out of pocket ripoff hunt' type thread*

Why is it always 'the great'?

Maybe ITV will create another bottom feeder consumer show which Martin could pop onto in pantomime style. Actually, they have done that. Need something different for such an important consumer issue as a tenner falling out of the pocket.

Tbh alongside the highly informed and knowledgeable posts from the usual suspects on this board (as demonstrated by the responses on this thread), I do feel that we should also celebrate the deluded crackpot ramblings such as those of the OP, who keep us all so entertained when they suddenly realise that the responses given do not quite match up to their expectations.
