Hi, never posted on this board before so here goes. My DS (7) has a DS Lite which hubby got her last year (in USA). Recently it has needed charged an awful lot & I suspect the battery might need replaced. Now it doesn't seem to be receiving a charge at all, & when its switched on she needs to reset the whole thing. Seeing as we didn't buy it here I'm a bit stumped for ideas as to what to do - can anyone here help ? thanks

If you know anyone who has a DS lite see if you can borrow their battery to confirm your needs a new one, it could be the charger or chargeing circuit.
If it is the battery then just buy a replacement, there are loads on ebay.
If it isnt the battery you have nothing to loose if it is not working and is still within the 12 month warenty contact nintendo and see if they will fix it. try to keep the location of purchase quiet but as it is a portable device and there is no region codeing so they should accept that they will be used in different parts of the world.0 -
thanks little john. i've spoken to a couple of small pc places locally & they advised to contact Nintendo directly, even tho it was purchased in the states. So i'll give them a phone later. It's not the charging unit cos her brothers charges up fine so it's definitely to do with hers
I've not been able to get a battery yet, I'll see what Nintendo say first. thanks again

So you have 2 DS lites?
why not remove the battery from your sons DS and put it in your daughters DS to prove the condition of the battery. hey while they are open you could try chargeing your daughters DS battery in your sons DS.
Nintendo won't cover batteries under warrenty no one ever does.0 -
aha, never thought of that !0
