differing kitchen worktop prices

Just been having a look at kitchen worktops at b@q and have seen a large variation in price from 40 to well over a hundred pounds for tops of the same size and apparently same material. The only difference I see is the finishing on the surface. Can this cosmetic difference explain the different prices?

The short answer is yes.
Some finishes are harder wearing but it the quality of the print and number of colours involved that mostly determine cost.0
