I think lostinrates' solution is more applicable to the OP.
I received three cards this year addressed to our house but not to anyone who has ever lived here.
I posted a message on our local Yahoo group and managed to home one (a digit had been missed off the house number) but the other two I couldn't find a home for. I did look in the Phone Book but so many people are ex-d these days.
I comforted myself that I had probably done more than anyone else would have.:cool: DFW Nerd Club member 023...DFD 9.2.2007 :cool::heartpuls married 21 6 08 :A Angel babies' birth dates 3.10.08 * 4.3.11 * 11.11.11 * 17.3.12 * 2.7.12 :heart2: My live baby's birth date 22 7 09 :heart2: I'm due another baby at the end of July 2014! :j

Could it be the house number has been put the wrong way round by mistake, i got a card with money in, and it was addressed to 56 instead of 65.0

the first year i moved here, i recieved a card addressed to someone who had not lived here for at least 4 years, i opened it looking for an address or somthing and found a £20 gift voucher and a note from 'auntie esme' stating her new address from the middle of jan. i kept the card and voucher safe untill the new address date and posted it back with a covering note stating i was new to the area and not aware of the addressee living there for at least 4 years. i got a nice note back thanking me for my honesty and that would explain why she had not recieved thanks for the gift she had been sending her nephew for many years.Dogs return to eat their vomit, just as fools repeat their foolishness. For the last ten years since moving to this house, a Christmas card from "Lil and Reg" containing a newsletter has arrived addressed to the previous occupants. They don't put an address on it and I don't have a forwarding address so I haven't been able to do anything about it. This year was the first year it hasn't arrived, reckon it is because of the postal hike. Now I will never find out how their dog's operation went, or whether their son in law got his promotion at Morrisons. Oh well.0
