Hello all,
I've recently set up a YouTube channel with a couple of friends. I am looking for abit of advice. I am currently using a HD PVR 2 to record gameplay videos then editing using arcsoft blizware. Does anyone know of a free video and audio editor that works with YouTube formats. I've tried Sony Vegas 10 but it's way to much for me.
Also I'm wondering if anyone has any hints and tips for bringing people to our channel? Then a final one, would anyone be able to give me any advice in regards to my video and commentary. I am new to this but want to be the best I can so anything harsh or not will be appreciated I'd just like some advice.
Thank you all in advance,

Can't post a link but you should be able to copy and paste that without spaces between w w w for ease.

Your best bet really is to learn Sony Vegas. It's what most people making gameplay video use. I also use that PVR and the videos I make in Vegas 11 look pretty good.
Just open the file explorer, drag your video file to the video section of your timeline in Vegas, drag the commentary audio track to track 4 or 5, shift them left or right a bit so they sync up, then add titlescreens and render.

Check a site/youtube channel called reelseo as it has a ton of tips on using youtube. There are lots of things you can do to get more subscribers. Here are a few plus some other bits/pieces:
- Keywords - find out which ones are relevant to your audience and use these in titles/descriptions/tags (ie when people search for videos, what are they typing?)
- Go to other channels and leave comments/build relationships with other players/channels
- Get subscribers by asking for it - add a subscribe button and reelseo will show you some cool ways to do this and how to add other videos (to the end of your channel) so that people view your other content
- Who is your audience? Beginner/Intermediate/? - Think about their needs
- Check the competition to see what they are doing and what works
- Comments are important on your channel. When you get some make sure you respond.
- Video time - Im not sure about the gaming world but generally the length of videos should be kept to 3/4 minutes. Your last vid is 14 mins. If I wanted to search for something it wouldn't be easy to find I dont think.0
