Increasing water pressure upstairs for washing machine?

Why do you think that installing a new feed from the loft will increase the pressure? What if this "plumber" charges you to do this and it's no better? What will he do then, scratch his head and suck in though his teeth in disbelief!
Have you checked for any cold feed pressure reducers or filters? Some Bosch machines have a filter in the cold feed hose.
Find someone who knows what they are doing! Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0 -

wow £180 for three feet of pipe, then he wants another £150 to feed 8 feet of pipe so total of £330 to connect a washing machine & you want to go with it cause you don't want to upset him
I'd sign you up on my books in an instantI'm only here while I wait for Corrie to start.
You get no BS from me & if I think you are wrong I WILL tell you.0 -
The washer was fine downstairs the problems only began upstairs - instantly.0

Its no good thinking the Plumber ?? has installed the new pipework from a tank feed already, it could be that the mains pressure is pizz poor on the first floor, and even poorer in the attic? Just trickling into the CWS . So connecting to a poor mains supply is not going to work. But the the plumber?? should have checked this first imo.
The mains pressure needs testing before any other work is started.
The Op has already stated the pressue is poor, due to having a pump on the shower.
And lets not jump on people before the facts are known. £180 is not just for 3ft of pipe, there is the waste to consider, drilling through walls, making good etc. £180 is a little high, but we dont know the detail involved. AND NO i am no defending anyone!0
