Why do you think that installing a new feed from the loft will increase the pressure? What if this "plumber" charges you to do this and it's no better? What will he do then, scratch his head and suck in though his teeth in disbelief!

Have you checked for any cold feed pressure reducers or filters? Some Bosch machines have a filter in the cold feed hose.

Find someone who knows what they are doing!

Because its currently tank fed and it needs to be off the mains. Once it is then the job will be done.

Thats exactly what he'll do if he is allowed to continue to feed it from the CWST.

    Good question.

Exactly but she can't (won't) because they work for the same employer apparently. Is he moonlighting or is it a business associated with the plumbing trade. In either case he could be in trouble. He would be with me. :D

Its no good thinking the Plumber ?? has installed the new pipework from a tank feed already, it could be that the mains pressure is pizz poor on the first floor, and even poorer in the attic? Just trickling into the CWS . So connecting to a poor mains supply is not going to work. But the the plumber?? should have checked this first imo.

The mains pressure needs testing before any other work is started.

The Op has already stated the pressue is poor, due to having a pump on the shower.

And lets not jump on people before the facts are known. £180 is not just for 3ft of pipe, there is the waste to consider, drilling through walls, making good etc. £180 is a little high, but we dont know the detail involved. AND NO i am no defending anyone!
