Hi,
notice a while back someone asking about internet car buying firms........I have just sold my vehicle with wewillbuyyour car.com and although its a case of not knowing what to expect all went smoothly and on my part I can wholeheartely recommend.
Of course you should get more selling privately, but i hadnt got the time and although I did list on ebay classified, i had watchers but no takers.
The guy I am getting my new motor off offered me 5800 as a part ex, and a friend in the trade rang around and said best he had was 6K.
Off to google I went and found this site, punched in my details and was offered a figure of around 6400.....a great improvemnt so I went for it....collected yesterday, no mark down on any scratches etc as you have to be as honest as possible, and funds transferred via CHAPS before car taken away.........all in all great way as long as you sell at a trade sort of price..........
just thought experience may be of use.............dont know what would of happened if they had knocked some off and say offered 5500 and I refused? whether any expenses would have to paid? never signed anything, but then again do you need to these days?

You can sometimes be better off as you have found, years ago i had a renault 5 turbo i wanted to p/ex for an MR2,they offered me 5k,i sold it to another garage for £5600 cash, and then got a couple of hundred knocked off the MR2!!
I think its worthwhile to explore every avenue available. There are two sides to every story.
