Wanted: Inexpensive usb dvd player

Options
Hi, we've been playing with wary_puppy via a cd we made from a download for a week or so and this has been good ie it all seems to work well on our aged pc . However, when we come to try to run the cd on the laptop the machine shuts down at boot up with a message saying "critical temperature reached so shutting down".

The laptop plays ordinary cds/dvds just fine but we have come to a conclusion that, for whatever reason, the dvd/cd drive in the laptop doesnt like wary_puppy (x4 different burns have been tried) and maybe if we can find a decent but inexpensive usb dvd player we can then test this theory and burn (heck, we're now using techie language!) dvds to use on the pc rather than simple cds which will, obviously,(?) increase storage capacity.

Any thoughts would be very welcome :)
