Some brilliant signage from our local Morrisons... All the signs are the same, around 9ft off the floor! Easily readable? I think not!

I'm 6ft and as you can see, the signs are well above me. The picture in front of the Qashqai (i think - soft roader at least) is particularly telling as they aren't a small car!

Who is best to report it to? I have so far failed to get a ticket from them for visiting more than once in a day!

The BPa logos are all there, they've even updated the small print by putting a sticker over it. Sadly, it's too small and too high to actually read!

What stupid signs, in the dark you won't be able to read them (or see them)

Such a shame Parking Spy don't do court, the judge would have a field day laughing at the poor signs.

Is the big D a reference to the 'Dorks' that put the sign up there?

You could send a pm to the user Martin Cutts (Google his name and the word 'Excel' and/or the words 'phoney fines' to read about him and PPCs). He is an occasional poster here - under his own name - and at one point recently was collecting evidence of unclear signage.

He is also on a forum which meets at the DVLA about PPC signage and similar issues.

Why don't you go into Morrisons, give them a print of your photo and ask them how the hell is anyone supposed to read that. After all they are the employer.

    Cheers.

To be honest, I didn't think Morrisons would do much. I know there is no point speaking to the BPA or Parking Eye hence the request.

will send on to this chap, if it is some help then that's all good!

    :T

Agree that Morrisons should have a complaint come in, although private parking companies are not 'employed' by retailers as such. Rather like a protection racket, they approach Morrisons Head Office and say 'we can police your parking bays for free, guv' (only in more of a shiny pitch than that, presented by a smarmy 'suit').

Then they are let loose and the retailers seem not to care. As for ASDA, their branches even often trot out the line that 'the car park is nothing to do with us' and one post yesterday exposed the fact that ASDA had asked the PPC to extend the time over December from 2 hours to 3...and the PPC did not! How can that be? And the victims were Christmas shoppers = ASDA's customers, not the PPCs 'customers' - you coudn't make it up!

We are trying to make the retailers care, via multiple complaints and exposing the issues/breaches and law-breaking of their pet PPCs etc.

Parking companies are not employed, they just infest car parks and cause problems
When posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.
We don't need the following to help you.
Name, Address, PCN Number, Exact Date Of Incident, Date On Invoice, Reg Number, Vehicle Picture, The Time You Entered & Left Car Park, Or The Amount of Time You Overstayed.

Depends how much grief you give the manager, if he gets a good kicking in the goolies and you can get others to join in it will incentivise him to call the parking company to task.

Are they not cetrally appointed though? Is it not outwith the local manager's remit?
