My bin was £6 from Asda, perfect size and easy to clean, can't imagine paying out for a brabantia, a friend of mine has the tall slim one and it takes no time at all before it's full :(
Recently bought this one for under a 10er and best one we've had so far, being a big family it gets full every day!

That's the one I have, only it was from A's.......I might replace it and get myself the green one, I am slowly building a lime green collection in my kitchen :D

  • ...for that sort of price I'd expect the bin to come complete with rubbish elves...

For that sort of price, I would want good ones! ;)

The one in the OP's link is 5L bigger than the one you have, so saying it takes no time before it's full makes no sense - your friend obviously has a smaller bin.

My point was she probably paid about 6 times what I did for my bin, and for what?

I can't see why some people have such a chip on their shoulder about what bins people buy. The OP has posted a grabbit yet some people keep going on about the cost. It's a good quality item and it just comes down to personal choice.

wow turning in to hotukdeals here over a bin!

I pointed my bin out via a link as i recommend it after going through many of the issues-noice, breakage, smell ect. Didn't want to start a new thread for it though it's only a bin. Anyone who doesn't have the dosh or want to spend that much on a fantastic all singing all dancing bin can get a pretty good one for £10 or so imo so pointed it out.

Let's just all remember that the spirit of MSE doesn't mean doing everything in the cheapest possible way. It means doing and buying what you want at the best possible price. A lot of people like Brabantia bins (myself included), so posting one that's available at a good price for that item is very helpful. Everyone knows there are cheaper bins available if you prefer.
