I have 2, and bought my son one too. My Mum liked mine so much she bought one as well. I think they're worth every penny. I have a white one, and got my son a grey one. My other one is a fingerprint proof one. I prefer these to the shiny or even just the matt ones.0

Btw, the best bags for these are from Lidl's - a roll of 20 for £2.99. I've never had one tear yet, plus they are pull string like the more expensive Brabantia ones.0

What a great idea, perhaps you could Patent that, I am all for elf help :rotfl:rhapsody_princess wrote: »I thought these bins were for the sort of peeps who competed with the Jonses'. Not us frugal money savers?
Have to agree a £100+ (even on offer) rubbish bin is far from frugal is it
As the only thing that goes in my kitchen bin is anything that is not recyclable (and that's not much in our area) then a basic bin that coordinates with my wall colour looks just fine to me and does what it says on the tin.:money:Everything has its beauty but not everyone sees it.0 -

I don't want to keep up with the Jonses'. It's each to their own. This is a grabbit. Where does it say that if you're on here that you can't buy something, which is good, just because it's a bit more expensive? We don't have to buy the cheapest thing just because we like a bargain now and again. Every bin I have bought has been on sale anyway. I think you can get some reverse snobs on here.0 -
My OH thought I was mad paying £60 for this bin a few years back, but even he admits its the best thing in the kitchen, I wouldnt do without it. It looks good just like the day I bought it. Bags can be pricey but Ill try lidl. (thanks for the tip jackieb)
Never had a problem with it, it is worth the investment so in the long term it will be worth it, Had mine about 5 years.
There are offers that come around and I have seen them at £60 mark. It may be worth keeping a look out for a better deal, sometimes tescos have them on offerThanks to everyone who posts comps :T0 -

I'm not into posh handbags or shoes - it's kitchen gadgets that float my boat, not because I'm keeping up with the Joneses (although not many people actually come into my kitchen, never mind the Joneses). A lot of things on Grabbit aren't hardcore MSE, like nice toiletries, wine and sheepskin slippers etc, but Grabbit is about things selling for less than the RRP, not living a hair shirt frugal lifestyle. But even I would stop short of this one:

I detest bins. Especially in kitchens. Very unhygienic, especially the huge ones.
I use a supermarket carrier bag, put it under my sink, when it's full, straight out to the wheelie bin. I probably use 2 per day but as they're free, no problem ! I have Aldi bin bags on standby for if i ever run out.0 -
Recently bought this one for under a 10er and best one we've had so far, being a big family it gets full every day!

I have (had should I say) a really nice sensor bin from Costo on offer at £37 about 6 year ago, sadly I stood on the lid while cleaning it last month and broke the sensor...never felt so clumsy:o
It was fantastic and such a super price...never had to touch the bin lid at all.
Looking out for a new one as we speak.0
