Thanks Alias
We don't know them at all the first direct contact we have had is when the put a note through our door yesterday with their phone number. Then we got the demand for completion. My hubby described the phone call as "not nice"
I know they are pushing as they turned their house into a buy to let and got a tenant immediately who demanded that they get the house before Christmas (we learned this after the fact) so are currently residing at parents house.
I really really appreciate their situation and want to move as quickly as them.
In the meantime I'm getting packing0 -
I'd not be minded to give in to this heavy-handedness. They have chosen to make life difficult for themselves by agreeing to their tenants' terms, and if they are currently sofa-surfing at their parents then I wouldn't expect them to throw in the towel with you for the sake of a couple of days. After all, they'd have to start from scratch with another property.0

I recently sold my house, had to move fairly quickly, so put all my possessions into storage and went to live in a small studio apartment on a week to week basis so as not to lose the sale.
I had an early redemption fee of approx £1200 with C&G BUT, if I take out another mortgage within 12 months, I get this refunded ! :T.
Speak to your mortgage company again as ask whether they would be in a position to do this ?
Good luck0 -
A little breathing room has become available. We've agreed exchange on Monday to complete on Friday. So fingers crossed0

Of course it is, doesn't everyone know that?
