Help with searches for FTB please

We have just had an offer accepted on a house but the vendor mentioned that a previous buyer had pulled out but they had found an entrance to a mine shaft close by, we want to go along with this sale but don't want to spend a fortune on a valuation and solicitors fees when the mortgage company wont lend on it.

Does anyone know where I can get a report on where the opening is online (preferably for free!!)

  • The only thing that I can think of is to try your local library.

Someone will come along with more information, I'm sure :)

Have you tried talking to the EA ? They may be able to contact the previous buyer and offer to buy the mining report from them. Apart from that you could go direct to the people who provide the mining reports and pay for one.
My last one in 2004 cost £54.
