Childcare tax credits

Hi,
I returned back to work yesterday after 9 months maternity leave.
My daughter is in childcare for 3 days a week (18hours)
The other days she will be with my mum.
I went on the tax credits calculator to see if we could get any help with childcare costs
but it said we get nothing.
My partner earns 26k p/a and i will be on about 11.5k p/a.
I've heard people say the calculator online isn't accurate.
Do you think we will get any help with the cost or not?
The nursery is £4 p/h.
My workplace don't do childcare vouchers and neither my partners.

Hi OP
It depends on a few things. If you only have the one child and your income for last year was those amounts then no, i'm afraid you won't get any ctc. If your income now is that but was lower last year (or low enough this year) you might get something, but possibly not for long.
If you have more than one child then ignore the above, you should be entitled, but you wont get much im afraid.Saving money like a trouper...0 -
