Do you have proof you paid (receipt, bank transfer record, copy of cheque paid...)??? What does the tenancy agreement say about the deposit?? (eg "Deposit £750" or "Deposit £0"..)???

(No offence...) but what have you done in the 5 months since he should have returned it??

    Is this England , Scotland...??

I have all the payments listed on bank statements, also rent statements from the landlord in emails proving there are no arrears. I have been emailing and writing for several months now, and he still hasn't agreed the amount of deposit paid.

We don't seem to have a copy of the agreement although this does not surprise me.

    We are in England.
