My lightbulb is shining brightly!

I have been posting and have been given some brilliant advice, over on the house buying, renting e.t.c board(thankyou btw:kisses: )
They told me to come over here...we are on the verge of selling our house, things have gotten that bad. I think we will have to sell, need to speak to the OH and show him the budget, reality has set in big time for me, I think it will too for him, when he sees it :( .
It's scary biccies, quite frankly but I'm willing to do whatever we have to, so that my family can have a life
So, I shall stick with you lot for a while, if thats okay :o
pleased to meet you again(I was here briefly before and things got worse, our own faults)

When you redo your SOA start a whole new thread and title it needawayout's SOA. People will look at it and offer advice. Here is a plan for meals for 1 week. https://www.bigbarn.net/food/articles/?articleid=195 which you should find relatively inexpensive. Go over to the oldstyle board for inspiration on how to be frugal.
Good luck with this. It should be doable. You didn't get into debt in a day and you won't get out of it in a day but if you lay the right foundations then you will find your way out in the end. People on here will support you every step of the way and only ask for you to pay it forward (ie help someone else when you're able)

Hi and Welcome to the Forum,

When you are doing your SOA please List your debts with the APR/Interest amount and Loans with the term. This will give us more to go on.

Also on the one that you have already posted you have not included anything for enjoyment/Night outs, Hairdressing/Beauty Therapy, Annual Holidays or Xmas/Birthday presents. These should be added into your SOA by working out roughly how much you spend and then divide by 12 if Monthly.

It is also a good idea to keep a spending diary of everthing you buy so you can see where the money really goes. Both you and your partner should do this as it is amazing how those packets of mints, coffees or newspapers at work add up over a month.

Good luck and I look forward to seeing your Updated SOA

    40 phone/bb
80 mobiles - Is this PAYG, if so there are good deals out there, I put £10 a month in and get 300 free texts, if contract when does it end? do you go over the free minutes/texts a month if so they will put a bar on your phone so you can only use the free stuff anything after that you top us as you would PAYG.
30 gym(I signed up for a year stupidly) - When does this contract end? - Could you not say you are moving away? Pregnant? any other story that would mean you wouldnt be able to go?

    What about gas/electricity/water/Car MOT/Car Tax

Sorry that you are struggling? How much is the debt and who is is to? are you paying back high interest?
Have you ever been charged by a bank in the last 6 years? Have you thought about reclaiming back bank charges? take's a few months but that money can go towards repaying back some of the debt.
