Mortgage for Sole Trader / PAYE combo

Hello all,
Long time lurker, first post.
I am registered as sole trader, but as I work in the media and the past few years have worked almost exclusively at one company on PAYE, I am unsure as to how I would be dealt with by a mortgage company.
Thing is like a lot of people in media in Britain I'm hired for a few months at a time on PAYE, so not strictly speaking full time and without a permanent contract.
I have seven years of tax returns, but the past 3 years show substantial income on PAYE, employed income, the last one even showing a loss on the sole trader section.
So, would I be treated as PAYE full time or self employed? Presumably if self employed the PAYE income is a part of that.
Oh so confused.

Hard to answer this without having all info but can see this being accepted by one or two of the lenders that do not deal with brokers.
Maybe rape a couple of brokers for info then apply direct yourself to access best deals.0 -
Okey doke. Thanks. So in that case am I likely to be treated as self employed even though I get payslips for the PAYE aspect of my income? Does the sole trader part of my income need declaring?0
