£6.99 line rental and Sky

Hi,
I'm currently with Sky for my line rental and broadband. I want to move to the Primus £6.99 per month for line rental offer. I've called Sky to let them know and someone told me that if I want to keep Sky broadband then I cannot change to a different company for my line rental. Does anyone know if this is correct? I don't want to move my broadband at the moment because I'm waiting for BT to lay fibre optic cables in March so don't want to get tied into a new broadband contract until then.
Thanks,
Richard.

That is correct you must stay with Sky to keep the broadband. I know it'll cost more in the short term but just stay with Sky until March then compare.dickyseville wrote: »Hi,

Hi,
I to am thinking about moving to primus for the £6.99 line rental, I have my broadband and calls through sky, but I pay my line rental cost to bt, can anyone advise if I would be the same position as dickeyseville in that I would have to move my broadband also, - I'm not in contract with either bt or sky, have no fibre optic and not likely to be in the near future (get .8 in b/band speed on a good day) any advice would be appreciated
Thanks

Moving your line rental away from Sky would mean that the only Sky broadband you can get would be the dire Sky Connect-this is just a resold BT Wholesale product.
Sky's full LLU broadband is a vastly superior product.
If you're out of minimum term with Sky, then negotiate a better rate for a further term.No free lunch, and no free laptop
