Well i have just deregistered my daughter from school, and would appreciate advice from any other home educators.

Please consider this route carefully and ensure your child has lots and lots of opportunities to socialise with a wide variety of kids of a similar age. Even better, that they can engage in some group work with others.
IMHO socialisation and learning how to deal with / work with / get along with other people is one of the most important functions of schooling, and the one which often has the greatest effect on present and future success and happiness.
I would suggest engaging your child with some structured actiities with other kids, even if its just scouts / brownies / millenium volunteers (depending on age and interests) as learning to work with others on tasks and activities is a vital part of becoming a successful, happy, well-adjusted young adult.0
