Tablet - Help Please

Bought my daughter a Samsung Galaxy Tab2 10.1 for Christmas
It has updated to Jelly Bean

She has a number of MOBI books on her PC which is running Windows 7

I am trying to enable her to be able read them on her Tablet

I have downloaded Kindle and Moon from the Google Store
Also have transferred the files to an SD Card which is now sitting inside the Tablet

Have opened both apps but still cannot read the books......

Have googled the issue, but still unable to find an answer

On our Nexus I installed the Kindle app. I then restarted the Nexus and a Kindle folder was created. It's then a simple matter of connecting the Nexus to the PC and copying the MOBI files to the Nexus.

I'd be surprised if the Tab2 was any different, other than copying to the SD card rather than the device itself.
