Contract agency used my credit card

Hi, I work abroad often and the agency I used hired a car for 4 of us, for the insurance I put down my credit card number. I actually paid the extra cover about 60euros so as if there was an accident I wouldnt have to pay 1200 Euro excess.
I was in France but the agency are from Manchester.
I was dismissed from the job for breaking (I took a photo in work) a rule but the agency have used my card to pay the car hire in full. Without my permission.
Saying that they never authorised the hire. I have a copy of the booking ticket and it shows they hired it but i'm down as the main driver. I collected the car. This amount was 590 Euros. Which put my account into the red. Can I claim back the amount and also the charges incurred for going over limit?
Again I did not authorise it!!
