Visa Debit question

in Credit cards
I signed up with a paid site for a month. The fee for the next month will be auto taken from my account. I paid and joined today. How long will it take on my Barclays online banking for this direct debit to show up so i can cancel it? I've heard the company will tell you they have cancelled it but they will still charge you. So I think my best bet is it to cancel the direct debit.

Visa Debit or Visa Credit?
If it is a credit card, it cannot be a Direct Debit.
If it is a debit card, why this board?0 -
I'm going to guess you only gave your card details?
So it will be a CPA.
Just tell the co if you no longer want the service. If they debit again contact your bank with the date you did this and dispute the payment.Never ASSUME anything its makes a>>> A55 of U & ME <<<0 -
I only gave them my 16 digits number, yeah. I've been trying to ring them since half 8 and no one is picking up. They have such a bad rep for customer service and letting people cancel I wish I looked them up before I signed up.
Can I just snap my debit card and order a new one or will they still be able to charge me?
Sorry I know nothing about Debit Cards.0 -

Just send them and your bank / card co. recorded letter in the post cancelling the authorisation and ask for a copy of the delivery receipts.Do you want your money back, and a bit more, search for 'money claim online' - They don't like it up 'em Captain Mainwaring0

I rang the company in question and got through in around 7 minutes. Spoke to a Woman and gave her my I.D for the site and she cancelled my account and assured me no further money would be taken from me. So hopefully it's all ok!0
