CLASSIC fM

I can't see this posted (I'm guessing 'cos of the volume of Q and A's) but it's a pretty neat prize.

We know it's the taking part that counts, but we couldn't resist offering you a fantastic prize to help you kick off 2013 in style. We're offering one lucky winner a year's supply of music - that's a copy of John Suchet's album of the week, once a week, every week until the start of 2014!

EDIT: OK, 19 out of the 20 answers are in. I'm only unsure of Q4 (see post 20) and not 100% sure of Q20 (see post 14)

HUUUUUUUUGE thanks to lilias for all their help and to kohsamui14, who came off the subs bench in the last minute to curl in a beautiful left foot volley into the top left corner. And One-Eyein extra time with that cheeky chipped penalty.

    Question 17

" On the surface there might appear to be no link between Black Sabbath, Wagner's Gotterdammerung, West Side Story and the theme tune to the Simpsons.
But all of them rely heavily on tritones, a musical interval that spans three whole tones, like the diminished fifth or augmented fourth. This interval, the gap between two notes played in succession or simultaneously, was branded Diabolus in Musica or the Devil's Interval by medieval musicians."

So I guess the answer is Diminished fifth??

I'm trusting you, but did a double check on the maths one as my maths is terrible. I hate them captchas in comps e.g (What's the missing number) X x 20 = 160. I find them tougher than the quiz question :rotfl:

BTW, fab work thus far lilias
