Refund on LCD TV @ Currys

Options
Right, to start with I'm an idiot!

Bought an LCD TV that looked great in the shop but is crap when I get it home an try to play computer games or watch Videos. Is a rubbish picture on TV and dvd too!

Anyway. Is it possible to get a refund?

The Currys receipt states that refunds only given for faulty goods or if unopened.

But is there anyway round this?

Advice from you helpful moneysaving experts appreciated!

Cheers!

Sales of good act is king

Is it sutable for the purpose it was bought for?

Fow close to the TV are you watching it? LCD looks crap up close, you need to sit back a bit more for the image to be ok. That is the reason I wont buy an LCD I know the image isnt perfect.

suitable for purpose it was sold not for which it was bought. I could buy a kitchen knife with intention to chop down a tree, as long as it wasn't sold for that purpose then I can't return it.

If you can show the picture quality is noticably different from the one you were shown then maybe but did they show you a high def sample and you are now viewing terestrial tv/sd dvd's?
