Wooden type flooring treated for a bathroom

Does anyone know of good wooden type flooring that is treated specially for a bathroom.
I saw some incredibly real looking porceline tiles that we could have, but with a baby on the way I would sooner go for a slightly more forgiving surface.
I am looking for the wide floor board looking variety. If anyone know of brand names it would be great to have when on my mission.

Apart from the obvious aqualoc laminate you can buy from stores, you can treat almost all laminate with either PVa on the joins or a sealer called Clikseal, available from Floors2go.
Personally, i would choose quickstep flooring (800 range) or their tile range and clicseal the edges to make them watertight.........sealing with pva will also do job, but this will glue boards also, and will render them useless if you ever need to replace.0 -
thought about something like teak/mahogany parquate flooring, as i understand it a !!!!!imin base makes it waterproof and the wood itself has some sort of spores that make it hygenic and very hard wearing.
oh and tha added advantage is you can get the stuff on ebay for buttons.0 -
fit ceramic tiles, and dont drop the baby on them.
the baby will discover worse hazards than floor tiles in the home.Get some gorm.0 -
The last thing you want in the bathroom is a timber floor such as laminate, it will get wet, the water WILL penetrate and you WILL have to have it ripped up sooner or later no matter what brand you purchase.Four guns yet only one trigger prepare for a volley.Together we can make a difference.0

I have to say that this is only an opinion! I have fitted laminate to many bathrooms over the years and i myself have it in two at home with kids splashing all over the place. If its fitted correctly, and with the correct knowledge then there should be no problem. Mine has been in for the last 8 years in the main bathroom......no damage yet!
I have never had a customer call me back to a problem as yet and wouldnt advise it if a problem,.0
