Admiral - *Trying* to Cancel Auto Renewal

Hi All,
I have tried to ring Admiral 3-4 times today to cancel an auto-renewal of my insurance policy. I got disconnected and now can't get through to a human at all... If they take the money I am worried that I will have to pay (again) a cancellation fee - already £50 gone to another wrong quote
. Can they do this if I don't get through today (it renews tomorrow)?
Very frustrating Day...
Thanks All...

They can do it if their ts + cs allow them to!
You know what happens when you make an error!!0 -
Hi,
What error? I'm with them but it renews tomorrow - I'm trying to cancel today but can't reach them by phone?0 -
When you cancel, always better to do it in writing and use recorded delivery.
(Your error is leaving it to the last day (jan 2nd!!) to try and get them on the phone!)
Can you fax/email your cancellation to them now?0 -
Email them and ask for a confirmation email back to you.
Or keep ringing them, if you do get through on the phone, tell them to send you a confirmation by emailmake the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
No one is open over the festive period... and I've been in hospital... but thanks0

Oh the fun I've had with Car insurance companies today... Really need to change my renewal date (...some how!)0

Some suggestions: (2 & 3 will cost something)
1) Don't put it on a road for a fortnight then buy a new policy
2) Cancel after 13 days then renew.
3) Take temp insurance now for a fortnight then buy a new policy0 -
Quentin, 1) is illegal due to the new Continuous Insurance Enforcement rules, unless OP declares it SORN.0
