Scittish power/Manweb have just billed me my first electric bill for 10 months after they forgot to bill me after I switched to them it has come to £288.
How long should they give me to pay it?
If they let me pay over 10 months I will be paying double for my electric over the next 10 months.
I spent 25 minutes on the phone waiting to talk to someone before giving up.
Am I likely to get a discount because of the inconvienience .

inconvienence to who? surely you must have known you needed to be paying for your electric. why did you not contact them before now? why did you not save some of the money over the period of time?

    sorry to sound harsh but......

I contacted them after a month and they told me these things take time...
In this computerised world I don't think so.
I have the money but why should I pay it all at once will they give me a disount for this?

cant see why they would give you a discount, the best they may offer is to let you spread the payments.

I agree with m00nie. Why should you get a discount? You have not been disadvantaged and have had the interest on the money that should have gone to the company had they been on the ball..
