hi, i was full time employed for 7 months as a driver but due to a hectic/stressful work load i decided to look for something slightly easier.
I left my driving job as i found a job at a local garage doing mechanic work which seemed more suited but after 1 full week i have been told that the position is no longer required . . not sure why it has come to this as i am a good mechanic but i am now unemployed.
I was paid for my weeks work but not sure what happened regards officially employing me as i wasnt there long enough to see them add me to a payroll for PAYE /etc.
I know i have only been employed a week but can i claim jsa now . . . i am unsure if i will be allowed to based on my very short employment with the garage . . hopefully i can ? THANKS

If your empliyment ended due to a reason other than misconduct, you shouldn't have a problem claiming JSA. And you'd have to be really fast to commit misconduct in a week and get sacked for it! Just go sign on and explain, it shouldn't be a problem. Just bad luck for you - good luck finding something else.0
