Hi,
I'm hoping you will be able to help me, I've got two questions on onions.
1, I'm wanting to grow from seed this year, completly forgot haven't bought any seeds yet but still want to try. Will I still get decent sized onions if I plant a few weeks late?
2, I put my onions from this year into the shed for storage, made onion pie yesterday and noticed that alot of my onions have started growing again!! Anyone know why this is, where I put them they get no sunlight at all.
Thanks

Yes, you will still get good size, if you sow in cells before the end of feb.
Your onions in storage have started growing again because of the moisture in the air. It really needs to be bone dry to stop them getting into growth.

Perfect! Will get onto getting some seeds then, the onions were bone dry when I stored them, so I guess my shed isnt the best, will have to think of somewhere else to store them next year.
Thank you for the advice

You can chop and freeze the onions which have started into growth again, if you want.0

Or stick one or two in your flower beds to grow on for a second year-nice unusual flower followed by free onion seeds
