Cut To Length "Rawl Plug type" Rods

Bit of a Fixings query for you good old DIY Folk. Is it still possible to get the long (about300mm lengths) Blue, Green and Red plastic plug rods (Sorry if this ain’t theproper name) Essentially like a cut yourself Rawl Plug! Have looked in numerous DIY & Builders Merchants and can’t find it.
PS I'm in Northern Ireland so may not have all the GB Trade Counters at my disposal over here (i.e. no Wicks, Screwfix trade counters (through can mail order), Travis Perkins etc...)

If your fitting a curtain pole and having trouble because the plaster is old, what i did what use a 8x3 screws with red plugs, 3in was enough to get in to soild brick.0
