Will Parcelforce accept an item wrapped in layers of bubblewrap?

I have bought large bubblewrap and wrapped a heavy item in about 3 or 4 layers of large size bubblewrap. I have put cardboard on the top and bottom of the item, but this is underneath the bubblewrap. I don't care about insurance or damage claims.
What are the chances of the driver refusing the item? I think it is packaged well with a lot of strong tape securing it, and plenty of padding, but their website suggests you should use a box. I don't have a box that big as it is a large item of about 20kg.

This appears to imply they require an outer box as well as an inner one so they may refuse it:
. Contents should be placed in a rigid cardboard box and sealed to prevent opening during transit.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Why bother packaging at all if you arent bothered about insurance?
Its a 20kg item.
If anything I would be packaging it with a mind to handling
bubblewrap is something that once it gets a tear, can soon start bursting out and a 20kg item with be happy to oblige popping out its packaging0 -
I had something arrive the other day just in bubblewrap alone, a good 10 layers of the big bubbled stuff. Took me ages to roll it all off and was hlaf the size. Shouldn't see why they wouldn't take it.0

If it helps, I get my cardboard boxes from my local Iceland. The staff are happy to collapse and keep a few boxes for me to collect, rather than rip them up and force them into a recycling cage.
Even if you can't actually get a box big enough, wouldn't it be better to put cut open one or two large cardboard boxes and lay them over the surface of the bubblewrap? At least the bubblewrap won't then be obvious and it'll add to the protection."The secret of life is honesty and fair dealing.

Parcelforce told me they would probably not have refused the package as long as they could stick their delivery stickers on it.
I couldn't find the original quote I got from any of the parcel sending websites so I gave up on the idea.0
