Checked my account on line this afternoon and a bank credit has been deposited into my account today. Its for about £6 more than i usually get from CTC a week. Have already had this weeks payment on monday, its not a bank holiday this weekend, so i am .Has this happened to anyone else? Or can anyone explain pls before i spend it or add it to the holiday fund!!!

Have you changed your income ? and gave them a figure for last yr ? its probably just a final paymet to balance up.I no longer work in Council Tax Recovery but instead work as a specialist Council Tax paralegal assisting landlords and Council Tax payers with council tax disputes and valuation tribunals. My views are my own reading of the law and you should always check with the local authority in question.0

Hi CIS, no nothing has changed at all, and today i received in the post my annual review pack to complete and all info is correct, strange! anyway hope it is just a final payment (windfall) but am reluctant to touch it tbh in case they come after me for their mistake lol,0

We get WTC and yes on monday and today two different sums credited. Tried to call them for explanation but no answer - busy signal. I was also going to give them the new figures for last years income as i have just done the tax returns online.0

Just spoke with someone on the phone. I have called in february to give them estimate of my income, and tell them i no longer work as i am pregnant. What happened is they put a lump sum of money few weeks later in our bank account and we received a new award letter. Today, i guess because of the new tax year we got another award letter stating the second amount that was put in the bank on tuesday. Still puzzzled why as we got the other payment on monday. The person i spoke to said that we might have been slightly overpaid for the last year, but that will come to light when we fill the new declaration, which is god knows when and by the time we get this declaration who knows how much the overpayment will rise. With a baby on a way in few weeks time just don't know what to think or do. How can these credits be such a mess, and why noone from the goverment reads this forum to see what is going on 0
