So in a day you can rip the old kitchen out, fit the legs on the units, level all the base units (maybe scribe the backs and cuts for pipework), fix together, fix to wall. Fit any infills , decor end panels, fit wall units up, cornice , pellets, doors, doors handles, intergrated appliances, fit and join worktops, cut outs for sinks hobs etc, fit and duct extractor fan in a day??????
Some crap basic kitchen maybe.
John....
Fitted my recent kitchen in 4 half days including hardwood flooring,i did have a hand though fitting my extractor though and under unit lighting plus lights from the sparkie at work.
Im a joiner/furnie
its an ok kitchen not cheap and not the most expensive but the wife loved one from kutchenhaus also helped that a friend got us a cracking deal with a few freebies)
Ps i dont drink tea or coffee0 -
I think its too late now as you agreed an hourly rate, you can contest charges for extras and materials that you feel are excessive but if he did the hours then you can only really appeal to his good nature.
Sounds a huge amount of time though, on normal length days thats 10 days to 2 weeks.0 -

What a load of b****ks... Basically you just throw kitchens in... Think you have done a good job then want paying..
I dont work in a workshop, or my garden shed. i have fitted a fair few hundred kitchens. But you probably know better.
I have worked with people like you, normally known as a waste of space..
Have you any idea how old i am???

I'm lost here will the poster that are saying he should come back and correct work free of charge, the OP agreed £20 per hour, if any further work is required, that also is chargable at £20 per hour.
The tradesman could choose to do it FOC, but thats their choice. He should of course replace any damage parts himself.
As for time it take to fit a kitchen if there was a standard timescale then the price to fit would be fairly standardised... everyone has their own way of working out the cost, all that matters is what the quotation says and the value put on the work.0
