Switching to new online saver

I have £17,000 in an e-saver and the bonus ends in 2 weeks.
I've got other saving using up my ISA allowance so want to maximize interest on this without having to lock it away. Any better solutions than a regular online saver? Any loopholes I'm missing that I should be exploiting? With quite a large sum, even the difference between 0.5% is quite a bit of extra free cash

I have a Santander 123, £2.00 a month fee, but by transferring sky, BT, O2, gas, electric, water and council tax direct debits, the percentage income from the direct debits is higher than the £2 fee. Plus 3% interest on balances over £3k (up to 20k). I also have a first direct regular saver which will average 4% over the 12 months.... By which time, the savings rates MAY have increased.]Mortgage 1. At start £46,000, may 1996 jan 11 £27363.58  Dec 11 £25,289.00 December 12 £21,882.68
june 2013, £[STRIKE]18,948 18,182[/STRIKE][/ September 13. Funds available to clear the darn thing! Yay! :j0 -
If you go for the Santander 123, don't forget quidco/topcashback to open your account. I received £55 cash from quidco for opening mine.andrea_louise wrote: »I have a Santander 123, £2.00 a month fee, but by transferring sky, BT, O2, gas, electric, water and council tax direct debits, the percentage income from the direct debits is higher than the £2 fee.
