As above-you can't 'move a contract' from one property to another. No free lunch, and no free laptop

If you let them know in advance, you can "move" the contract with you. As soon as we had an agreement for the new house, we contacted EDF, saying that we are moving and that we want to take the contract with us. They then contacted the existing supplier to let them know that EDF will take over.
It does take 4-6 weeks, but as we didn't move in directly, it meant we could take EDF with us"Learn how the system works and exploit it while you can..." - best advice I ever had while studying0 -
Hi andi320 - Pre-arranging a change of supplier when moving to a new house is unusual, but provided that the dwellings old supplier is notified on the moving date and given the meter readings, it seems feasable.
What I find of concern is that EDF seem to have agreed to transfer your current Blue 2014 tariff as well - From my memory banks rather than written records, when you signed up in Sept. 2012 you would have got the March 2014 tariff, which is no longer available - I think that you should make sure you get this in WRITING.0
