Phonecall on new years day!!

Bought 2 items in december from a power seller. They never arrived and yesterday i escaled a case and got a refund. I left neg feedback (first time in years probably only 2nd time ever) and noticed that over 100+ people had left neg feedback in that month alone:eek:
Anyway I get a phonecall from seller today saying that I wasn`t happy with the service and that he had spoken to his manager and he was going to offer me a goodwill gesture of 2 new free replacements and asked would I accept, of course i said ok (althought i knew exactly what his next words where going to be) and he replied he will pop them in the post first thing tommorow...........as long as i removed my bad feedback:mad:
I politely refused and said i would do without the items thank you. He politely said ok and i put the phone down.
What a blummin cheek... new years day too, some people :eek:

I don't see the significance of New Year's Day being an undesirable time to call. Unless of course if it was early in the morning. Now if it were Christmas Day I could understand anybody not welcoming such a call on that day.
You escalated a case yesterday, the seller called you to try to remedy the problem and the neg feedback today. Would you have preferred them to have just ignored you or called you in 2 weeks time when you'd probably have forgotten all about it?The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.
I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.0 -

Yeah he had plenty of time to remedy it. He could send it and then ask if you would review feedback after, not before... Cheeky little wotsit!
New Year's Day is not a biggy but I wouldn't ring someone on New Year's Day for ebay.0
