had a benefit medical with atos which was in november.
had a decision letter through to say been awarded contributions based esa and was placed into support group.
this is where i am now confused.
it says my esa rate will be £71 per week.
when i looked at the rates online it says that this amount is the assessment phase which they will pay for 13 weeks.
does this mean that after 13 weeks my money will go up to £99 per week?
and does this mean that after 13 weeks i will need to attend another medical?
i am confused because when i got my esa85 atos medical report it says review in the medium term which i understand is around 2 years.
very confused at the amount of money i am getting any help please thank you

You definitely won't need another medical after 13 weeks
I think that your ESA should go up the the higher support group amount after 13 weeks from when you first started to receive it.
If you think that 13 weeks has already passed then you'll need to give DWP a call.0 -

i will get my first payment of esa of £71 tomorrow, so i guess it will go up to full amount after 13 weeks?
thanks for this advice, i will contact them after 13 weeks if my money doesnt go up!?
i pressume i will then get £99 per week, plus £34 support group?

I thought Contribution based Support group was a total of £105.05 per week (£71 + £34.05 support group) ? Where do you get the £99 per week ?
Also the 13 weeks will start from when you're first entitled to ESA, which is likely to be before the date that you actually get your first payment.
EDITED TO ADD:
Have just seen a post from you on 19.12.12 when you say "will go into my local jobcentre to ask them all it says its just esa basic rate of £71 per week plus £34 for the support group"
So you are getting £105 per week ?
I also understand from that earlier post that you were transfered from IB - in which case the 13 week period does not apply0 -
i went into jobcentre today as i noted that my payments hadn't gone in!!
they had changed my payment date from wednesday to thursday without telling me ::++((
it would appear that i will be getting £110 per week, i was very happy with that.
i did forget to ask about if this was the assessment rate, so will need to wait and see after 13 weeks!!0
