Nope, but the green is there for the snowdrops. My japenese quinces are leading up before flowering. and the tulips are well on their way through. Most of the roses did not defoliate. And the weeds are bad.
But......last year started similarly. No defoliation (last year my lupins even stayed green throughout winter) and mild...then crushingly last frosts.0 -
Does this mean that good weather is on it way or just that 2013 is going to be another strange year lol0

IMO it does not reflect anything that will happen, only what has.
Nature has been as confused as us in the last year or so, and using it for prediction has proved people very worng. The snowdrops just think its time, along with the other spring stuff, and whether they are right or not remains to be seen.0 -
No snowdrops yet but the primroses are out & the daffs are about 5" tall.0

On closer inspection, the sun today has teased a few pansies into opening and the perennial wallflowers have also started to make an appearance.0

You can say that again... My winter clematis is in bloom since mid-July, one of the hellebores tried to flower in August (it failed... a few buds came out and died down a few weeks later), the sweet violets thought it was spring again at that time too so I had another round of flowers :rotfl: The rest of my plants did behave "normally" though.
And I found some @#$%* caterpillars munching on leaves only a few days ago.Now free from the incompetence of vodafail0 -
Sadly our rogue comfrey has started putting in an appearance as well."Save £12k in 2019" #120 - £100,699.57/£100,0000

Funnily enough last week ,just after Christmas, whilst cycling, i noticed a furry juicy caterpillar trying to cross a busy road. It apparently was unaware of the Green Cross Code, so i gave it a helping hand and dumped it in a recess on the other side."if the state cannot find within itself a place for those who peacefully refuse to worship at its temples, then it’s the state that’s become extreme".Revd Dr Giles Fraser on Radio 4 20170

I have new years day roses, Remarkably. We had turning leaves, fruit AND bloosom on the same branches of the same tree at the same time. Pretty much every thing has been odd in my garden, Many things just did not nothing putting In an appearance and I don't know if they have rotted in the rain or just didn't feel warm enough to wake up.
We'll see in time.0 -

The ones I found were the "standard" cabbage-type ones... And no helping hand for these, they went for a swim in a bucketas they were just doing too much damage.
