Should I refund postage to?

I sold a new ps2 game which can also be played on a ps3 60gb console. In title therefore listed it as ps2 / ps3 game.
Now weeks later buyer is complaining as it didn't play on her ps3 console ( as she did not realise she did not have a compatible ps3 console). I said fair enough that you didn't realise so just return it and ill refund for the item. She wrote back that it's not her fault as its not up to her to find out if her ps3 is compatible and she wants both lots of postage back too. I just wondered if you would refund all the postage of me sending it to her and her returning it too?

Did you list it as PS2 or PS3 60 GB Console or just PS2/PS3?
If you listed it as PS2 / PS3 60GB then dont refund the postage, if you listed it as PS2/PS3 I would take that as any PS3 and you should refund all the postage.
I've had a PS3 for years and had no idea only certain ones would play PS2 games.
I dont think strictly speaking that you have to refund any postage, but it you only specified PS3 when infact it needs to be a specific PS3 then maybe you should.0 -
You must refund the original postage paid , however whether you refund the return postage depends on whether item was described properly,or not. Did you say anywhere that it does not work on all PS3s? If not then I think the title is misleading enough to warrant the return postage being refunded as well.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Fair enough. No I didn't , no excuse but I did loads of rush listings before Xmas and I didn't write that it only played on 60gb ps3 consoles. It was by no means intentional. Full postage refunds it is then.
Thank you0 -
The way I look at it is I would rather have the goods back so I can sell them on than argue with a buyer who maybe won't return the goods until I pay all the postage. So I find (as a business seller) it's easier to just agree, pay up and then you may be able to build any extras you paid to this buyer to the price before listing for the next sale.0
