Fixing the click wheel on an iPod Nano 4th Gen?

Essentially this model. > http://p.playserver1.com/ProductImages/5/9/0/1/8/5/6/6581095_300x300_1.jpg

My lovely Dad upgraded his iPod and gave me this Nano... on the whim that I could fix it. It's in fantastic condition except the click wheel doesn't respond. It did for a while last night when I was resetting it, but no response what so ever.

Is replacing a click wheel easy on a nano? The actual iPod works fine, just seems a physical problem.

I've also tried a soft reset but the wheel doesnt seem to register it.

Any help would be fantastic.
Now I am employed, lets get rid of this student debt! :D:D

Then next I'd try a full Factory Reset, if you can. If that fails, it's probably a hardware issue and not economically repairable.
